Brief Update- Home Visit

Oh, hello friends! Apologies for the lack of updates. Time has gotten away from me!

If you read my last blog, you may remember that I was planning to come back to the USA for two months so that I could be present for my little brother's wedding. Spoiler alert: I've been back for 10 days or so and have been soaking up every minute!

The older I get, the more I understand and appreciate the relationships in my life. For most of them, it doesn't matter if it's been 10 days, 10 months, or 10 years! We can quickly pick back up where we left off and have the best time catching up! What a gift that is. I think that is what I am most looking forward to during this time home.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Nepal and will be excited to return! But while I am home, it is my intention to be fully present and engaged with friends and family here. Should be fairly easy to do since I am due to attend a total of 3 weddings, at least 3 birthday celebrations, and Easter during this 8-week span! (Don't worry- will be taking COVID tests throughout as well). Plenty of opportunities to see loved ones. And that's encouraging to me because if all goes as planned, this next time I leave, I could be gone for a total of up to 14 months. (Actually- 19 months could be a possibility too, but I'd love to come home at least once before that!) Anyways. The reality is that we should always expect the unexpected, so who knows how it will really unfold, but in any case, I'm enjoying time at home.

So. If you are in Asheville, Memphis, or San Francisco and want to connect before I fly out again, let me know! I'd love to see you.

As for updates for Nepal- the kids are continuing to do well. I'm still planning to begin language school. Ministry projects are all going well so far. Nothing negative to report! And if you want to know more about supporting me, send me a private message and I'm happy to answer any questions about that as well.

Enjoy these snapshots of time at home so far!
